Abridged from 1st New York ed. of 1828. f/piece with tissue guard+viii+256; occ.tanning spots inc. one to t.p. and several to rear pastedown & endpaper, a few small mark to front pastedown & endpaper, two central gatherings slightly proud but seems to be a binding fault as quite secure, outer margin of f/piece has a small ink blot and word which looks like 'Du', a few other minor marginal marks to this not affecting image and fairly inoffensive, top edge of textblock has ingrained dustiness, end gutters tight but rear one incipiently opening; covers clean but boards surface and corner rubbed, spine good bar very small nicks to top. Mostly concerns his time in the Sandwich Islands. Scarce. Size: 11 Cms x 18 Cms.
