Page number: 379 plus a fold out plate describing the measurements of elephants tusks and some advertisements for other Macmillan publications. Size: 8 3/4 x 5 3/4 inches. Chapters include: Native Trackers, Among The Madi, African Rivers and Swamps, Curious African Sayings and Ideas, Odd Notes on African Insects, Curious Hunting Incidents and Hunting The Bongo. 23 photographs show Elephant in Thick Bush, Tame animals at Kagulu, In The Nile Swamps North of Wadelai, Floating My Tent Across A Swollen River and Elephants Shot in Lado Enclave. Condition: Very good. The covers are quite worn. The binding is still tight though beginning to crack at front and back. The end block is not entirely even. There is a library sticker on the back endpaper and a previous owners name and details are written in ink on the first end paper. The pages are very clean and un-thumbed.
