double columns of text (biography and description), programme for each day printed on 5 yellow leaves, portrait photographs printed on 24 translucent leaves, pp. [276], spiral-bound notebook, front cover photograph lettered in yellow and white, verso with Grazer Congress map, slight crease at upper edge, rear cover faintly toned, very good. International Society of Contemporary Music programme for the 1982 World Festival - essentially a Who's Who of the greatest contemporary composers and musicians of the age. The schedule includes works by Berio, Stockhausen, Stravinsky, Ligeti, Cage, Boulez, Max Roach etc. with world premieres of Michael Nyman's 'A Handsome-Smooth-Sweet-Smart-Clear-Stroke: or else play not at all', Matsushita's 'Alabaster für drei Orchester', Heinz Holliger's 'Jahreszelten', Trevor Pearce's 'Interiors' and Jean Claude Wolff's 'Tristes' among others. The translucent portrait photographs highlight the facial hair fashions of the era and the notable absence of women composers - Bunita J. Marcus the only exception with 'Two Pianos and Violin'.
