Livre Edition originale
Original Cloth. Etat : Very Good. First Edition. Third printing from 1957 of the sixth volume of The Cambridge Medieval History which was originally published in 1929. Fading and scattered brown spotting to the spine. There is also a little fading to the top and left edges of the front panel and both the front and rear panels have some light surface marking. The page edges are browned with scattered dark spotting to the fore edges. Name of the original owner to the front free endpaper - this was Cathy Cockroft one of the daughters of Sir John Cockcroft, the Nobel prize winner and first Master of Churchill College in Cambridge. There is spotting to the endpapers and the adjacent pages with this gradually diminishing so that by the title page there are only a few small spots. There is a little spotting through the book but the pages are otherwise generally clean and unmarked. No jacket. Heavy item so postage will be more than the standard charge for overseas orders.
