Page dimensions: 280 x 206mm. This third edition has a new Preface by Steve Gower, Foreword by Les Carlyon, and Introduction by Ashley Elkins, followed by a facsimile reprint of the 1916 edition. "'The Anzac Book' is a remarkable 'time capsule' of the Gallipoli campaign of 1915. This collection of soldiers' humorous, satirical and sombre depictions of their conditions and experiences on Gallipoli is a uniquely vivid record. Staples in binding are rusting. 200mm tear along front cover (from bottom edge). 50mm tear in back cover. Some smaller tears and creases along edges of both covers. Covers, edges and multiple pages foxed and stained. Pages thumbed and browned, some creased. Stamps on some pages "Sydney Press Club". Last pages (161-164) detached. Book is heavily worn, in poor condition. *We always describe the faults of our books meticulously but they usually present better than they sound.

Soft cover. Etat : Very Good. No Jacket. First Edition. Written and illustrated in Gallipoli by the men of Anzac for the benefit of patriotic funds connected with the A & NZAC. Soft cover titles and picture on front. Rear cover and original spine are missing and new hand written titles taped to spine. The edges of the front cover and the final page have been strengthened internally by tape. Despite the missing rear cover, the binding is good and all contents are present. Previous owner name on title page. xv & 170pp with many illustrations. Pages are age discoloured with scattered foxing. A good copy with faults.
