Cracking to hinges with exposed binding, causing boards to be slightly loose. Binding remains firm. Boards have mild edge wear with slight rubbing to surfaces. Leather peeling to spine and corners, with noticeable scuffing and scratches overall. Mild tanning to spine and edges. Dark rubbed mark to spine.

Each volume, except for Volume II, contains the bookplate of "Edn.d Vaughan Williams", Sir Edward Vaughan Williams, grandfather of the incomparable Ralph Vaughan Williams. The boards of all volumes are worn and are either loose or have weak hinges. The back strip is missing from each volume. The title page and the first 2 pages are missing from Volume 3 and some pages are loose in the other volumes. A detailed description of each volume is available on request (from an interested buyer). This is a heavy item therefore an overseas buyer may receive a request for extra charges to cover the cost of its shipment overseas.
