Hardcover. Etat : FINE CONDITION. Etat de la jaquette : FINE CONDITION. First Edition. (4) + 5 -160 PAGES. AN AMAZING BOOK WITH VISUAL COMIC PORNOGRAPHY IN AS HUMOROUS A PRESENTATION AS POSSIBLY CAN BE. THESE COMICS OF THE 1920'S - 1950's OFTEN PROVIDED RELIEF FROM THE EXTRAORDINARY DIFFICULT TIMES FOLLOWING THE DEPRESSION OF THE 1930's AND THE APPROACH OF WORLD WAR II. THEIR DEMISE WAS PROBABLY RELATED TO THE RISE OF "MEN'S" MAGAZINES IN THE 1960'S. THE SO CALLED "8 PAGERS" WERE USUALLY SOLD ON STREET CORNERS BY SLEAZY LOOKING CHARACTERS WITH THEIR JACKET POCKETS FULL OF THE LITTLE BOOKS. BECAUSE OF THEIR EROTIC NATURE, THEY WERE SELDOM KEPT AROUND FOR ALL TO SEE ESPECIALLY IN THE HOME. THE AUTHORS AND ILLUSTRATORS OF THE COMICS AND THEIR PRODUCTION MANNER WERE NOT GENERALLY KNOWN OR PUBLICIZED. A BIBLIOGRAPHY OF TIJUANA BIBLE PUBLICATIONS IS PROVIDED. THERE IS AN INDEX RELATED TO THE TITLES OF THE COMICS PORTRAYED IN THIS VOLUME. . Size: 12"X9 1/4".
