    Hard back binding in publisher's original light blue cloth covers, black lettering and elaborate design to the spine and the upper panel, gilt motif with the letters V. R. to the lower panel, floral end papers. 8vo 8'' x 5¼'' 148 pp. Full-page monochrome illustrations throughout. Nice illustrated bookplate to the upper paste down, pages 13, 15 and 43 with small neat underlining. In Very Good clean and bright condition with only minor rubbing across the spine tips and corners, no foxing, the nicest copy we have seen. Member of the P.B.F.A. ART [British].

Joseph Mallord William Turner (Londra, 23 aprile 1775 Chelsea, 19 dicembre 1851) è stato un pittore e incisore inglese. Appartenente al movimento romantico, si può dire che il suo stile abbia posto le basi per la nascita dell'Impressionismo. Nonostante ai suoi tempi fosse visto come una figura controversa, attualmente è considerato l'artista che ha elevato l'arte della pittura paesaggistica ad un livello tale da poter competere con la maggiormente considerata pittura storica.
