2 vols. bound as 3, 4to, pp. clviii, [ii], 543, [1, numbered ?543-1200?]; [ii], 1201-1622, [2], xxxvii, [3]; [390]. Untrimmed in original blue paper boards backed in grey paper, vols. 1 and 2.1 with pink printed paper labels to spines, vol. 2.2 spine lettered in ink. Some spotting and foxing. Boards soiled, edges a bit worn, joints and spine ends of vols. 1 and 2.1 repaired. Ownership inscription of J. Foster to front boards, occasional pencil notes internally. Complete with the scarce second part of the second volume, containing the Analytical Index promised on the title-page. A tipped-in slip before the titlepage of vol. 1 reveals that the Index ?will follow as speedily as possible; but it was not thought advisable to delay the publication of the Digest on its acccount?.
