Full Leather Hard Back. Etat : Good. 1st Edition in This Form. .illustrated Ussher portrait Frontispiece + Title page + lxiv (64) + 244 pages. Full Leather Binding looks contemporary, in good condition, with blind tooling to front/rear, rubbed with edge wear, tiny loss top/base of spine. Contents mostly good and tight with some corner tip folding, owner name crossed out on inside front endpage at top, owner name top of title page, did not notice any other inscriptions, some creasing, a few pages with light edge water staining, a couple minor edge loss, some other minor faults. A couple of pages miss numbered by printer (one page numbered 91one side and rear side 102 instead of 92) but all 244 pages present. So overall condition Fair. 1st edition in this form, one source states printed by Mary Clarke for Charles Harper at the Flower-de-luce over against St. Dunstans Church in Fleetstreet. James Ussher, 1581-1656. This is a genuine copy published in 1688. At the time of listing there were no genuine early editions on the net for sale, just Modern copies , (a couple of dealers give the impression theirs are original but are not, saw modern paperbacks even priced at over £500 ). So this is a very rare chance to purchase an original 1688 edition. Size: 12 x 18.5cm Approx.
