Valentiner of Italian art historian Piero Toesca's book, "Il Trecento." Much commentary about the work of medieval Italian artists included, along with black and white photographic plates. Also in the reprint are an exhibit review by William E. Suida ("Savoldo's Paintings in the S. H. Kress Collection") and an essay by Theodore Sizer, "The John Trumbulls and Mme. Vigee-Le Brun." Both are illustrated with black and white plates. 11.0" (28 cm) tall; 27 pages.

A good plus ex-library hardback, publisher's original sky blue cloth binding with gilt lettering to the spine against a darker blue label. Book is well bound, tight and square - but the front cover is slightly soiled and the end papers are marked from where the dj was stuck down and then later removed. Otherwise, it is in very good condition.

Boards are a little rub worn with slight shelf wear to corners, spine and edges. Corners are a little bumped. Spine ends are a mildly crushed, with small splits and chips. Tanning to spine and edges. Boards are bowed. Book has a forward lean. Water marks to boards and spine.

Very light rub to head and base of spine. Some very light stain to the boards. Browning to the first and last few pages and insect damage to the top right corner last 3 pages ( not extensive). Starting at the title page. Top edge blue. Binding holding square in its covers. Internally the text and 84 illustrations bright and clean. Overall a good copy that would benefit from a little tape repair to the binding. Size: 6.5" By 9.5".
