Pale cream coloured binding with light green geometric design to surfaces & green titles to front, light foxing & slight blotching to surfaces, small losses (1cm) with splits to spine-ens, wear through to card at corners, light wear to edges with one small nick to bottom, one small nick (8mm) to spine, some browning to end-papers, slight browning to title-page.Text has a light water stain to bottom corners 2.5 & 6.5 cm along edges. Text is otherwise very clean & in nice sound condition.

Partial tannning to endpapers. Two full-page, fine colour reproductions from other of the artist's paintings have been tipped in (grangerised). The dj is unclipped but has rubbing to the spine along with some nicks and minor paper loss to top edges.

First edition hard back binding in publisher's original oatmeal cloth covers, red and black title and author lettering to the spine and to the front cover. 4to 11½'' x 8½''. Contains frontispiece [xii] 143 pages of Dutch text followed by 184 illustrations on coated art paper. A monograph on the Dutch architect, Saendredam (1597-1665), whose buildings include De St. Catharijne-kerk and De St. Jacobskerk (Utrecht), De St. Cunera-kerk (Rhenen), and De Nieuwe Kerk (Haarlem). In Very Good clean condition with slight age darkening to the spine. Member of the P.B.F.A. ART [Flemish and Dutch].
