8vo, 163, [4] pp, red decorative cloth with gilt. A collection of prayers for Jewish women; according to one scholar, "My guess is that this collection dates from the late nineteenth for early twentieth century. The ideal expressed represents a reaction to changing roles of women at that time, rather than a 'traditional' tkhine" (Goldberg, Jewish Passages: Cycles of Jewish Life, 307). An attractive copy with spine lettering dulled, corners slightly bowed, pages toned.
