Hardcover. Etat : Very Good. No Jacket. 1st Edition. The pictorial boards are undamaged but shelfrubbed and at the extremities with a number of white flecks. The contents are clean, unmarked and undiscoloured. The book is signed twice by WGH Vivier to the title page. Once after the title and once after a fairly long, warm inscription to Dr. Marjorie Courtenay-Latimer dd 30 October 1979 at 1 Darling St. Beaufort-West. "Courtenay-Latimer (1907-2004) was the South African museum official who in 1938 brought to the attention of the world the existence of the coelacanth" as per Wikipedia. Loosely inserted is a page explaining and reproducing in colour the Beaufort-West Coat of Arms. Inscribed by Author(s).
