Tight hardcover in fair condition. 4to. 377pp. Purple cloth boards & backstrip with blind stamped border on the front board & gold lettering on the backstrip. 250 black & white illustrations throughout text printed on coated stock. Book is clean & tight. The front board has some wear & edgewear with bumped corners. The back board has a oval moisture stain as well as a vertical 1 1/2" band of fading close to the backstrip. The backstrip is faded with edgewear on the top & bottom. The lettering is very visible, but a lot of the gold has worn off. The inside back board & free endpaper has a matching oval moisture stain. The pre-pages and title page have some light foxing. The leaves have no markings. Pages towards the back have an impression of what looks like a horseshoe that lessens as it gets the middle of the book. Ships within 24 hours. Scanned photos available upon request.
