The author was Director of the ATS from 1943 to 1946. The book is illustrated with b/w photos, and a facsimile letter from the Queen sending goodwill to the Conference of the Auxiliary Territorial Service with gratitude to the author on her forthcoming retirement for her untiring service. It is covered in red cloth with black lettering on the spine. CONDITION. VG-./ no dj. The pages are clean and tight. The spine is faded a shade and the lettering is dulled. The corners and ends of the spine are rubbed.
