Numerous illustrations and text are clear n bright. VG+.

Front cover has been cracked and taped, but is still solid. Paper label pretty much all worn off spine. Front hinge is fragile, contents clean throughout, binding is sound. Contributions by Sarah Orne Jewett, Fredric Remington (two stories, with his illustrations), Richard Harding Davis, Owen Wister, Thomas Nelson Page, others. Many illustrations, steel engravings.

Etat : Fair. 1903 edition in fair condition in boards showing wear to the edges, surface scratches and soiling to both boards, cloth strip partically separated from spine but present, about 4 inches of the spine covering is missing, name of former owner to front board, two names to front endpaper, one name to back endpaper. Also, starting to front and back inside hinges. Light soiling along bottom edges of a few pages. Fading to edges of pages and some light smudges in the generous margins. Illustrations are clean and bright.
