Previous owner's bookplate inside front cover of Vol. I (a word inked and then scribbled out on front pastedown of both volumes). Otherwise, text blocks are quite clean. Previous owner's name inked on top page edges (both volumes). Cover edges a little rubbed. Dust jackets edges rubbed, with numerous tears and chips. Volume I has a 1" tear in top edge, 3/4" split in one of the bottom corners, and 3/4" x 1 1/4" chip in spine bottom. Volume II is missing 2 1/2" from lower spine, 1/2" from top spine. 3/4" tear in back panel, 1 1/2" split in top corner, and 4" tear in top edge. Dust jackets in mylar protectors.
