"This, the fourth volume of the Wiener Library Catalogue Series, differs in one fundamental respect from its predecessors: While Catalogues 1 to 3* were in inventory of our holdings on various aspects of the recent past, the new work is concerned with the present-Germany Now. The German problem is general and the partition of Germany in particular, continue to be of vital interest to the world." From the foreword. Interesting bibliography on : Wartime plans for Germany, Germany under Occupation, The Problem of Berlin,German Guilt and Responsibility and others. OCLC:530875042. A very good copy.

Edition originale
Hardcover. First edition. Original blue boards. 8vo. 279 pages; 21 cm. Written in German and English. A bibliography of resources available around the world on German Jewry. Divided into 9 sections with subtopics within each including "History, " "Jewish Life and Thought, " "Participation in Cultural Life, " and "Antisemitism. " Includes foreword by Alfred Wiener, a German Jew who worked for a Jewish civil rights group and devoted his life to documenting the rise of antisemitism in Germany. Before fleeing Germany in 1933, Wiener "collected books, photographs, letters, magazines and other materials, including school primers and children's games, recording the spread of Nazi propaganda and its racist doctrines" (Wikipedia, 2016) . He founded the Jewish Central Information Office in London with his collection on September 1, 1939, the day the Nazis invaded Poland. During the war it was used as an intelligence agency, and after the war it functioned as a library. "The present Catalogue is designed to give a clear picture of the various phases of the history of German speaking Jews, before the Hitler regime put an end to its rich variety; their fight for emancipation, their religious and communal life, their many organisations, youth and welfare work, thought and learning, their role in Zionism and their ideological controversies. " Catalogue Series No. 3. SUBJECT(S) : German Jews, Jewish history, Bibliography. Light wear, Very good condition. (GER-51-3).

Hardcover. Third Revised Edition. 8vo; 208 pages; Original Publisher's Cloth. 8vo. 208 pages. Third, Revised Edition. The first volume of the Wiener Library Catalog, in our opinion still the most important work in the set. What Robinson & Friedman did for Yiddish and Eastern European works on the Holocaust, Wolff did for Western European material--we find it to be the best bibliography for Jewish and non-Jewish Holocaust material produced in the Western overrun countries prior to 1950. Includes bibliography (pages 13-18). Very good condition. (HOLO2-75-4A).
