Ex-library copy with typical stickers and markings. Errata taped in the front. Africville was a Nova Scotia community established by blacks in the mid 1800's. It was destroyed in the name of urban renewal in the 1960's. The opening chapter, "A Visit to Africville", by Charles Saunders, is a folksy introduction to the community, naming all the notable people and places in 1959. 124 pages. Size: 8 1/2 x 10 1/2 Oblong.
