It is a compendium of part of the largest grouping of artistic works ever gathered in one defined location, namely, Florence (Italy). The period of time in which these works were produced ranges from year 59 B.C. to approximately 1600 A.D. It shows art in all it's forms: painting, sculpture, architecture, half tone prints and even plan layouts of structures. The slipcase is decorated with a part of the painting by Fra Angelico, 'The Last Judgement'. The book bindings are blue cloth with gilt titles on the spine.
