Exemplaire à grandes marges sur vélin, n° 64 / 303. 9"-12½". Sewn, original printed stiff wrapper over blind wrapper. Two of the illustrations are mixed technique plates by William Ablett, one is signed in pencil by the artist; a circular engraving with a lithographic image printed on it and heightened with gold. The publisher, Devambez himself a painter, printmaker, author, and printer, as well as publisher may have allocated extra expense in creating this exquisite collection. William Ablett's plates stand out with the Greek scene - etchings/aquatint one of them signed in pencil. Pages are loose, uncut inside wraps, with light browning to the edges. Outside cover with browning, soiling and a few small chips. Plates are excellent condition. Size: 9" - 12½". Signed by Author(s). book.
