The white covers are soiled, and there is a spot on the bottom of both the title page and the facing portrait of a young Princess Elizabeth (not affecting any printing or the color portrait of Elizabeth). The spine is leaning slightly. Pages six and seven have small printed drawings of children, and a previous owner neatly colored those. Bright but the cloth on the front board is slightly rippled. The extremities are rubbed and the front joint is partly split. The rear lower corner has the surface varnish worn away. Internally very bright with just some spots on the first 3 or 4 leaves.

The "Belongs to" box on the fly-leaf has a neatly completed gift inscription.
