Nice DW, quite worn with minor loss and some repairs. Charming 2-tone and B&W illustrations by Mabel Lucie Attwell throughout. A retelling of the story of Peter Pan for younger children.

Internally also very good with a contemporaneous colour bookplate to the front free endpaper: 'Horncastle Queen St. Methodist Sunday School - presented to' (in fountain pen ink): 'Mary Toyne, First Prize 1942.' No other inscriptions. Pages clean. No creases or tears. ***In a very good colour illustrated dustwrapper, which has not been price-clipped, retaining the original publisher's price of 3/6 net. Edges of dustwrapper creased and rubbed. Small loss and rubbing to corners of dustwrapper. Small closed tear and associated small chip to bottom of spine of dustwrapper. Minor wear to tips and spine ends, faint staining of rear board, and just a little faint foxing top of title page and other pages opposite the plates. Dust jacket not clipped, with price of 2/6 on spine panel, rubbing along folds, a 1 1/2" tear top of front panel next to spine, some loss at ends of flaps and ends of spine panel, and faint erasure on front panel. From the front panel of the dj "This is THE Edition for 'Littlest' People' and "Retold by May Byron for Little People with the Approval of the Author". Six colour plates, including the frontispiece, all present. 135 pages. Not dated but gift inscription on front free endpaper dated "Xmas 1932". The illustration on the front panel of the dj is "The Never Bird" one of the plates in the book.
