Light brown sheepskin leather binding with title label and raised bands on the spine. Small leather label bottom of the spine has the name Charles Kearns. A small circle label located on the spine. Two signed names on the title page: Charles Kearns and D D Bramble. Previous owner inscription written on the right right front flyleaf - "D. D. Bramble Commercial Hospital 1863." Leather is lightly rubbed along the board edges and joints. Minor scuffs to the spine and back cover. End sheets edge toned with some stains. Light damp stains to the top page edges 337-537. Hinges are in good condition and interior contents clean. A good copy. A source record found on "Genealogybug dot net" has an extensive biographical sketch on Dr. David Denman Bramble a Cincinnati area Physician. Bramble graduated from Ohio Medical college in 1862 and practiced for one year at the Commercial Hospital in Cincinnati before starting his own practice in Cincinnati. Charles Kearns also graduated from the Ohio Medical college. Kearns graduated a year later in 1863 and after his graduation he taught and practiced at the Cincinnati Hospital (source: find a grave).
