Hardcover. Etat : Good. The cover has dark blue cloth. The Prefatory Note states, "This book is a work of fiction.to convey a true impression of the Navaho Indians and of mission work among them.many experiences of fellow missionaries, especially those of Slim Missionary [William Mierop]." 31 chapters. The bottom edge of the spine strip is frayed; the top edge is a little thus. Three board corners each have a 1/8 in. threadbare spot. An owner's name is on the front endpaper. Spine is slightly cocked. Text is slightly yellowed due to age. otherwise clean and unmarked. Hinges are tight. The red illustrated dj has light wear and chipping on spine ends, hinges, corners and bottom edges. Light shelf wear and soiling to covers. Spine is lightly sunned. This book is hard to find with a dj. A story about the Navaho which "against the backdrop of the lonely desert paints the mysteries of Indian beliefs-and the triumph of Christianity through the work of the missionary."
