Lausanne: André Gonin, 1944. En feuilles sous chemise et étui: 20,5 x 27 cm, 142-[8] pp., 6 pl. grav., 1 bois. Ouvrage illustré de 11 bois originaux, dessinés et gravés, par Henry Bischoff (1882-1951). Triage limité à 325 exemplaires signés par l'éditeur et l'artiste. Celui-ci, un des 250 exemplaires sur Vélin du Marais teinté crème (n° 86), imprimé pour le Dr. Raould de Preux, auquel il a été ajouté une suite de 6 bois sur chine dont trois en bistre. Notre exemplaire est encore complété d un bois barré ayant servi pour l impression, à la p. 127, de la gravure «L homme au fagot d épine» (ci-contre). Couverture repliée couleur vert d'eau, chemise en demi-parchemin avec titre en noir au dos, plats recouverts de papier vergé blanc, étui assorti. Étui fendu à un angle et insolé, intérieur en parfait état. La traduction française "libre et rythmée" de l' uvre de Shakespeare est due au poète genevois René-Louis Piachaud (1896-1941). Cette version fut donnée pour la première fois au Théâtre de la Comédie de Genève le 14 mars 1923 (note de l'éditeur).
