Very Good; some minor rubbing/bumping to extremities; a bit of scuffing/staining to cloth; paper label on spine tanned and missing a bit in the upper corner; foxing to endpapers and to page edges, also extending a little bit onto the page surface at deckle fore and bottom edges. Hinges sound, spine straight, pages clean and bright except as noted. All 100 plates, plus frontispiece, each with one to three tipped-in photos, are in perfect condition, and all tissue guards are present. No dust jacket. 13x10.5 inches, bound in green buckram. Printed in Great Britain, edition limited to 750 copies, of which 250 were sold in the U.S. Book.

One of 250 copies of the special limited American edition, 500 copies of this edition were also published in England. Jacket shows some soiling and is missing two medium sized pieces from front cover. Chew marks to the foredge side of the front cover of the clloth. Binding is tight.

Because of the tipped-in plates, the heavy stock untrimmed -edge pages are slightly rippled. Front hinge partially cracked but holding. Blue cloth boards with gold-stamped titles along spine are sunned and rubbed at extremities with loss of material to lower corners and head of spine. Grey paper wrapper with price of L5,5s is heavily chipped along edges, now in protective mylar. The Bles Collection of English and Irish Glass had been lent to the Victoria and Albert Museum in the year preceding this book's publication. A review of the show describes the collection as "particularly rich in glasses of individual interest, and every piece included may be said to illustrate a different aspect of the development of the craft.". Hard Cover. Good/Fair. Folio - over 12" - 15" tall.
