Chapters on big game hunting by F.C. Selous, James Sutherland, J.C.B. Statham, H. Frank Wallace, J. Turner-Turner, C.R.E. Radclyffe, C. Phillipps-Wolley and others. Chapters on angling by R.B. Marston, F.G. Morgan, Col. R.F. Meysey-Thompson, Cecil Braithwaite, John Holt Schooling, J. Turner-Turner, J.C. Rokeby-Hallen, Rev. H.T. Adams, F.G. Richmond, Arthur R. Price and F.G. Aflalo. Brief biographies, usually with a portrait, of "Celebrities with the rifle" and "Sportsmen with the rod." This were mostly penned by the individual concerned and were presumably offered as an incentive to subscribe to the series.
