Nice-looking exemplar of the Limited Edition of 2,500 copies, and the dictated autobiography earned First Place winner of the Utah State Institute of Fine Arts Creative Writing Competition in the Autobiography section for 1969. Lots of black-and-white vintage photographs of the author's place in Southern Utah history, from early Mormon settlements to encounters with the Navajo Indians. Sturdy, attractive, tightly bound hardcover, clean interior but for some tape-removal shadows at first and final free endpapers, else unmarked of interior, minimal rubbing to extremities. Bright and shiny dust jacket, illustrated, little worn, protected by a plastic coat, price-clipped. Foreword by A.R. Mortensen, a fine duotone portrait of the author, who dictated his story to his widow. 249 pp. plus a full index and a note on the text.Member, I.O.B.A., C.B.A., and adherent to the highest ethical standards.
