Newspaper clipping from May 19, 1969 taped to rfep with another clipping from December 1969 taped to rear pastedown; also laid-in at rear endpapers is University of Alabama News Bureau press release promoting book's publication; additionally laid-in at front endpapers is brochure for May 1973 General Wilburt S. Brown Memorial History Conference at the University of Alabama. Interior leaves are otherwise clean. Binding is firm. ISBN 0817351000.

Slight rust to staples but binding is firm. Typescript-style text. Inscribee is USMC Major General Wilburt S. Brown (1900-1968) who was married to Martha Stennis Brown (1911-1998), a relation to Mississippi U.S. Senator John C. Stennis; General and Mrs. Brown are interred in a family plot in a Newton, Mississippi cemetery; book was acquired from the Columbus, Mississippi estate of a sister of Mrs. Brown.
