Hardcover. Etat : Good Plus. First or early printing. Publisher's blue cloth, bright gilt stamping to cover, stamping to spine dulled, light edge wear, binding a bit cocked with rear inner hinge repair, otherwise a tight copy, clean, former owenrship name, else unmarked. No dust jacket. Included with this book is a letter from the author (envelope attached to copyright page) on two pages with his letterhead from Pacific Theological Seminary, Berkley, CA, dated May 22, 1913. It is addressed to Mrs. Walter Rauschenbusch, wife of Walter Rauschenbusch (1861-1918) a published theologian and key figure in the Social Gospel single tax movement. In the index of this book are several page listings under his name. The letter indicates they were more than acquaintances, where Buckham mentions his children Sidney and Bayard. He also indicates he is working on a book "Normal Mysticism" perhaps this book, as it wasn't published for 2 years after this letter was sent. Experienced full-time bookseller since 1994 (selling online since 1998). Images may be added by request. Questions welcome.
