Januar 1919 in Mainz; gestorben am 29. Mai 1999 in Bilthoven, Niederlande), genannt Buri, war ein deutscher Lyriker und Schriftsteller. Sein Geburtsname lautete Adolf Friedrich Wongtschowski. Zusammen mit William Hilsley gehörte er zum engsten Freundeskreis um Wolfgang Frommel. Wolfgang Frommel (geboren am 8. Juli 1902 in Karlsruhe; gestorben am 13. Dezember 1986 in Amsterdam) war ein deutscher Schriftsteller. In Frommels Frankfurter Zeit fällt im Agust 1933 die Begegnung mit dem vierzehnjährigen Adolf Friedrich Wongtschowski, der sich später Friedrich W. Buri nannte. Ihm verhalf er 1937 zur Flucht in die Niederlande und dort zusammen mit William Hilsley zu einer Anstellung an der Quäkerschule Eerde. Hilsley und Buri versammelten in Eerde einen Kreis von Schülern um sich, die sie in die Gedankenwelt Stefan Georges und deren Auslegung durch Frommel einführten. - ZUSTAND: Sehr gut. Einschlägiges Werk des Verwaltungsjuristen und Diplomaten Friedrich Karl von Buri (1702 - 1767) zur Geschichte und Verfaßtheit des Lehnsrechtes in Deutschland. Das Lehnswesen war eine im Mittelalter herausgebildete Herrschaftsordnung, die eng mit der ländlichen Besitz- und Herrschaftsstruktur der Grundherrschaft verbunden war. An der Spitze der sogenannten Lehenspyramide stand der Kaiser oder König, der Teile des Reichslandes an seine Vasallen als Lehen vergab, die wiederum das Land als Lehen an ihre Unter- und Aftervasallen weitergaben. Diese übten auf ihrem Lande die sogenannte Grundherrschaft über die dort ansässigen leibeigenen Bauern aus, als deren Gerichtsherr sie zugleich auch fungierten. Lehnwesen und Grundherrschaft blieben in Deutschland noch bis ins 19. Jahrhundert hinein in Kraft und wurden dann erst sukzessive durch die Bauernbefreiung und die damit verbundenen "Regulierungsedikte", welche die neue Besitzverteilung des Bodens regelten, abgelöst. Buri liefert mit seinem Werk eine komplexe Darstellung des Lehnrechts von der Begriffsentstehung und den ersten Anfängen bis in die spätere Zeit sowie eine Auseinandersetzung mit den verschiedenen Bestimmungen und sozialen Regelungen dieses Rechtes und den daraus erwachsenden Verpflichtungen für alle Beteiligten.
