Hardcover. Etat : Very Good. No Jacket. A delightful hardback book, with quarter bound red cloth around the spine, finished in marbled paper covering, gilt title impressions, on blocked burgundy background, postioned nicely on the spine. The book is in really good condition, normal wear and marks apply consistent with use and age. No dust jacket or slipcase. Splashes of discolouring to top of the maroon coloured end pages (when book is closed.) 505 pages all intact, all pages, text, maps and illustrations are in good, clean, readable order. The Maps were drawn by Denys Baker, Extracts from Byng's Tour into Kent, 1790, are reproduced by kind permission of Dr.J. Andrews. Set in Monotype Baskerville by Gloucester Typesetting Services Ltd. Printed by the Bath Press, Avon, on Hamilton Wove Paper and bound by them in quater buckram with paper sides, marbled by Ann Muir. Another fantastic book from The Folio Society.
