Hardcover. Etat : Very Good. No Jacket. A E Jackson (illustrateur). The Water Babies. By Charles Kingsley. Illustrated by A E Jackson. Published by Humphrey Milford in 1936. Size: 6 3/4 x 9 inches. Page number: 252. Hardcover. Blue cloth boards with black tiles. Condition: Very Good. The boards are in good condition being only a very little worn at the extremities, but the spine in particular has darkened from blue to a greenish brown. The end papers are intact and the binding is tight; but the first pages of the book in particular are affected by foxing and a shadow of foxing persists intermittently throughout the book. With the exception of the image that is opposite the title page, that is lightly foxed, the images within the book are not however affected; all 12 are present and all remain lovely and bright. There are a number of black and white illustrations throughout that book - chapter headers and embellishments. There is no dust jacket.
