Original black cloth Hardback. Etat : Very Good Plus. R. Douglas Strachan (illustrateur). First Edition Thus. 1909. xv, 119pp. 2 b&w illustrations by R. Douglas Strachan. Introduction by Andrew Lang. Note opposite the Contents page states "Some of these verses appeared originally in 'The Scots Observer', 'The National Observer', 'Black and White', 'The Outlook', 'The Spectator', 'Chambers' Journal', and other papers; and a number of them were published in volume form in 1900 by Messrs. D. Wylie and Son, Aberdeen. In the present collection many new poems appear for the first time." Top edge gilt. Gilt titles to spine. Gilt vignette of a kilted piper to upper board. Original black buckram binding in very good condition. Fore edge and bottom edge uncut. Occasional light foxing. No inscriptions.
