Not one of the smallest adventures in publishing this journal of a trip from New England to Chicago in 1833 was figuring out who had written it, since the author did not put his name in the journal: the identification of Colbee C. Benton and the story of his life are tucked in at the front of this limited edition publication of his adventures. The folding map byu James hayes is present at the back; very nice condition, some sun-browning at top of covers.
