Bound with a brown cloth spine, light blue colour illustrated paper-covered boards. Text printed in brown, large coloured frontis and four full page colour plates. Most pages illustrated with vignettes printed in orange, yellow and brown inserted within text. The binding is rubbed with small surface abrasions, juvenile markings, extremities are quite worn, although the binding itself is quite firm. Interior generally intact, with scattered light soiling/smudging, some lower marginal tears, biggest being one inch (2cm), and a child scribble on the verso of a colour illustration. Not a pristine copy but it is scarce, with lovely illustrations Folio-over 12"-15" tall, Approx. 10 x 12 inches approx.
