First Edition. 98 pp. Tucked into the book is 4 page Order of Exercises for the celebration held at the First Church in Hartford, January 24th, 1889, a business card of J. Hammond Trumbull, President of the Connecticut Historical Society and a number of letters written to Frank B. Gay, who was then the Recording Secretary of the C. H. S. , dated 1889 having to do C. H. S. Letters are from Joseph Hopkins Twichell, the Harvard Historical Society, J. W. Perry (State Rep. ) , John W. Stedman (V. P. Of CHS) , N. H. Allen (? ) and George Walker who appears to be the pastor of the First Church in Hartford, in addition to a few letters for which we cannot make out the signature. Blue cloth covers with gilt are a little rubbed at the corners, spine tips a little frayed. Interior title page is loose, otherwise firm and clean. A wonderful collection of C. H. S. Memorabilia in connection with the 250th anniversary celebration. ; 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall; 98 pages; Signed by Author.
