Hardcover. Etat : Very Good-. This appears to be a years collection - 1879 - of Little Wide Awake. I can only presume that the 1st page was missing as it has been typed out and stuck onto the fep and reverse. It is the the 1st page of Mrs. Molesworth 'Hoodie' - a story that runds in chapters each month, the whole way through the annual. Each month seems to contain a chapter of Hoodie, a talk about the particular month by Mrs George Cupples, a piece for the VE-RY LI-TLE FOLKS; part of a shorter story that tan for 3 or 4 months by E H Knatchbull-Hugessen, and a piece or 2 by the editor including a poems; there are many engravings/illustrations all b/w; a few puzzles with answers at rear; generally in pretty good clean condition, especially for age; marbling to blocked page edges; ; Little Wide Awake; 4to 11" - 13" tall; 380 pages.
