Hardcover. Etat : Very Good. Etat de la jaquette : No Jacket as Issued. EDGAR HODGES(COVER ART), R.W. SMETHURST(COLOUR FRONTISPIECE) (illustrateur). First Edition. UK hard cover annual. Moderate wear/bump damage on board edges. Top of board spine has been repaired with clear tape. Illustrated boards. Cover depicts a spaceman(in spaceship) watching a rocket/missile crash behind him. Clean, tight pages. Strong binding. Bottom edge tear on pages 79-80. Previous owner gift inscription on front endpaper. Not price clipped. Illustrated text stories and two comic strips(Atomic Pile-Up, Highwayman's Hideout). A good mixture of Science Fiction, thriller, western and war stories. Plus non-fiction features on the Mary Celeste(Marie Celeste) and T.E. Lawrence(Lawrence of Arabia). Colour frontispiece(a Tarzan type swimmer amongst Sharks). Otherwise black and white illustrations. Interestingly my reference guides suggest that there was only a Super Thriller Annual for one year, but this is evidentally incorrect, as I have annuals for copyright years 1957 and 1958(this one). A scarce title.
