Black paper-covered boards over yellow cloth spine, edges untrimmed; 9-3/4" tall; 214 pp. Rubbing to rear board, darkening to spine, bottom corners lightly bumped; several pages unopened; binding solid. The debut novel, somewhat erotic, by the French author who would be celebrated by Surrealists when this book came out, only to be later rejected by them.
