Describes Bill Dennstedt's joining up to the RCAF in December 1939, his training as a navigator, meeting his fellow crew members, experience of engaging in bombing missions over occupied Europe and of being shot down, and with help of Belgian resistance fighters he survived until the Allied advance into France and Belgium after D-Day. Part of the book is research materials gathered by Bill on the RCAF and his old crew members. His daughter Darlene Dennstedt Gordon saw the book into print.
