Livre
Hardcover. Etat : Good. No Jacket. 304 pages (complete). In French throughout. A poignant edition as the book portrays a peaceful, pristine, pastoral country, when, as the book was published, the Great War was beginning to decimate swathes of its southern lands. The sturdy, sound copy. Quarter leather. The green boards are blind stamped with an Art Nouveau decoration. The gilt titling gleams. The boards have wear, scuffing, marks all about from handling and storage and shelving. The leather spine - again blind decorated and gilt titled - has wear about. The boards and spine are steady, secure. The contents have general evidence of use and the years. Nonetheless, the contents are amiable, companionable, clean and clear, at times bright and benevolent, generous. Please note that due to the weight of the book, should the book need be posted to the outside of South Africa, extra postal charges may be required. fk.
