Hundreds of illustrations in colour and black and white from photographs and paintings.Bindings ggod and tight. Texts good and tight with a little very light foxing of a few pages. Bound uniformly in original puiblishers green cloth with gilt embossed lettering to the spines. Numerous b/w photographic illustrrations throughout and full page colour plates. Bumps to the head and tail of the spine and most of the board corners. A small area of rubbing to the head of the front board of Volume I and a little soiling to the front board of Volume II and to the rear board of Volume III. Some light shelf wear to the boards, though gilt embossing to the spines remains bright. The textblocks are all clean and tight. A very good set.
