The text block and illustrations are in very good condition with no dogears or tears, but there are three pages with lines and marginal remarks. There is no bookplate nor signature of a prior owner. The book is signed on the half-title page by both the co-author Kilman and by Cullen himself. The title page is separating but is not detached. This is not a library book nor a remainder, The red cloth boards are in good condition (edge wear, bumped corners, bumped spine). 9 x 6, 376 pages, 25 ounces XX [Wikipedia] Hugh Roy Cullen (July 3, 1881 ? July 4, 1957) was an American industrialist and philanthropist. Cullen was heavily involved in the petroleum industry having struck oil near Texas in 1928. He was a large supporter of multiple educational institutions in and around Houston, in one of which, the University of Houston, he became a longtime chairman of the board of regents. He is considered one of the most important figures in Texas during the "oil boom" era. Inscribed by Author(s).
