Hardcover. Etat : Good+. Original brick red decorative cloth, stamped gilt lettering, 4x6 5/8 inches, 116 pp, illustrated with plates by Herrick. Hardcover, good to very good. Corners bumped, shallow ½ inch nibble off upper corner of front board, a few drop marks, rubbed along edges, spine moderately tanned, 1/8th inch fraying at head and foot, 2 inch tear along rear joint. Internally, previous owner's signature, partial drawing (in pencil) of a horse on reverse side of frontispiece, hinge crack between pp 32 & 33, lightly age tanned, a few stray bits of foxing lower corner of rear endpaper creased, otherwise tight, clean, paper crisp, unmarked and apparently never really read. Historical fiction; novel; chivalry.
