Hardcover. Etat : Good. 1st Edition. The cover has red cloth. 20 short stories; 9 b/w illustrations. The publisher's (I) is on p. 235. The spine strip's cloth and letters have darkened; its top edge is a little frayed, and the bottom edge is less so. Three board corners are threadbare, up to 1/8 in. The text block ends have darkened. The non-print sides of the half-title page and the frontispiece have foxing. The frontispiece and the title page each have foxing in one corner. The pages have a light, musty odor. Scans e-mailed upon request.

There are a few scattered soil spots in the text. The front end paper has a school stamp and some other school notations. The hinges are cracked. The cover has some edge and corner wear along with some light soiling. The spine has some end wear and a large tear on the top end.
