Hard Cover. Etat : Very Good. No Jacket. Reprint. Reprint of this novelization of the Paramount movie of a mad scientist who shrinks things (including unwilling people) with radiation. The film was mostly notable for its use of full Technicolor and decent special effects. "Garth" is a pseudonym; Bleiler (p. 80) asserts the author was Henry Kuttner, based on his authorship of a shorter version published in the pulps, but modern scholars believe the actual author was Alexander Samalman. Small hardcover, as pictured; no jacket, as issued. Light wear, corners bumped, minor tanning to pages. Text clean; 255 pages. Size: Duodecimo.

Note: This book is frequently blamed on Henry Kuttner, but I have seen no conclusive evidence to support that supposition. Kuttner did write a novelette version of the film for one of the pulp magazines at about the same time, which presumably accounts for his being blamed for the book as well, in spite of what I gather is strong stylistic evidence to the contrary"].
