Internally, half title, [5], (vi-viii), [1], 2-256 pp, small faint thumb print to base of title page, printed by John Edward Taylor, Little Queen Street, Lincolns Inn Fields, published the same year as the first edition. Book based on 12 letters. Not often seen! (197*124 mm). Gatty [née Scott], Margaret (1809-1873), writer on natural history and children's writer, had a lifelong passion for the collection and classification of seaweeds. See ODNB.
